Reid Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Is there a way to change the settings so that the scroll button on the mouse actually scrolls down the page in a layout instead of advancing record numbers?
bcooney Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 This might be solved with lock/hide status bar.
Reid Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 When I hide it it still does the same thing. I'm not sure if there's a way to "lock" it.
Lee Smith Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hi Reid, What brand of mouse are you using? Have you checked the settings in the System preference file? The only time this has happened to me, is when I have the mouse over the Rolodex. HTH Lee
bcooney Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Show/Hide Status bar with lock option is a script step.
Reid Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Its a dell mouse. I don't see any other options for the wheel in system preferences other than how many lines to scroll at a time.
Lee Smith Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 See if this helps. From the online help. Link Lee
Skipi Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) I find that if I put the mouse pointer near near the record number on the status bar and scroll it advances the records, but on the main layout it scrolls the page. Edited October 11, 2010 by Guest
Lee Smith Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Hi Skipi, I just noticed that my link above didn't work. Sorry. Your description sounds right. Here is a Tech Article that covers how a scroll wheel should work Link HTH Lee
