Is there a way to change the settings so that the scroll button on the mouse actually scrolls down the page in a layout instead of advancing record numbers?

This might be solved with lock/hide status bar.

When I hide it it still does the same thing. I'm not sure if there's a way to "lock" it.

What brand of mouse are you using?

Have you checked the settings in the System preference file?

The only time this has happened to me, is when I have the mouse over the Rolodex.

Show/Hide Status bar with lock option is a script step.

Its a dell mouse. I don't see any other options for the wheel in system preferences other than how many lines to scroll at a time.

I find that if I put the mouse pointer near near the record number on the status bar and scroll it advances the records, but on the main layout it scrolls the page.
