Hiding the Bars in Kiosk Mode

Featured Replies

  • Newbies

I've just installed a login/logout program for a computer lab; it's running on a Mac and works fine, but the screen display still shows the menu bar and status bar.

I think I've read somewhaere that there is a plugin for kiosk mode that hides them (and limits access to the records too?). Is it possible that the Web Security module would apply to this one?

The kiosk mode it's an option in the "Binder" used to make run-time solutions (is only avaiable in the FM developer edition), when you select kiosk mode it automatically turns off the menu bar.

There is also a plug-in to hide the menu bar, is very simple to use, look in FM site.

And for the status bar: use the command "Toggle Status Area[Hide]", you can define a script that performs this command every time you open the database.
