Adding Fields in FM4.1

If I drag copy, or copy a field in layout view, no problem, but if I drag a new field from the tool bar, the text alignment gets all screwy at certain sizes. Some of the data will center in the field on the first line (with any alignment on!) and the rest will drop down and move left. Whats up?

Thanks.

Copying a field will copy the formatting as well. Pulling a field from the tool bar will take the default formatting (which is configurable by the user).

There are a couple of things that will set the default, and I always forget what they are. Anyone remember?

Found it! Thanks. You made me think about the formatting. Went straight to layout, nothing checked, Format/text, paragraph button and voila! Many thanks.

Don

To set the default field format on a Macinotsh, Command-Click on a field with the desired formatting.

On Windows i *think* it's the Ctrl key.
