September 7, 200025 yr Newbies If I drag copy, or copy a field in layout view, no problem, but if I drag a new field from the tool bar, the text alignment gets all screwy at certain sizes. Some of the data will center in the field on the first line (with any alignment on!) and the rest will drop down and move left. Whats up? Thanks. Don

Pulling a field from the tool bar will take the default formatting (which is configurable by the user). There are a couple of things that will set the default, and I always forget what they are. Anyone remember? ------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Kurt Knippel Senior Filemaker Developer http://www.database-resources.com mailto:[email protected] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

September 13, 200025 yr To set the default field format on a Macinotsh, Command-Click on a field with the desired formatting. On Windows i *think* it's the Ctrl key.
