Jimjmn Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I have a DB posted using IWP and for some reason I can't edit the records. When I click on the edit icon in the status bar to the left and switch to edit mode I can select a few fields but not all of them. Whats up? I have various drop down menus and radio buttons and I can't edit any of them. There are some text fields that are editable and some that are not.
James Gill Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Have you checked to make sure that they are enterable in browse mode?
Jimjmn Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 If you mean selecting "Field Control" in the contextual menu and then "Behavior" and then selecting the "Allow field to be entered: In Browse Mode" check box, then the answer is Yes. If this is not what you meant then please do explain. I have looked everywhere to no avail for an answer to this.
Jimjmn Posted November 5, 2010 Author Posted November 5, 2010 Don't know why but deleting the fields and reinserting them fixed the issue. Who'd a thunk. Oh well, problem solved.
Matt Malyschko Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Don't know why but deleting the fields and reinserting them fixed the issue. Who'd a thunk. Oh well, problem solved. Does anybody else have a solution to this? I have a DB with approx 200 fields, and heaps of records that I can't just delete the fields and re-add them to fix this...
Newbies Botanize Posted March 20, 2013 Newbies Posted March 20, 2013 I had the same issue recently. In my case, the problem was that I had a rectangle around the fields that was grouped with some of the fields. Ungrouping the objects and making sure that the rectangle was positioned at the back solved the problem (this time).
