I have a lot of files in the old 2.1 but am looking to upgrade. I know that the new upgrades will not work from 2.1. Where do I get an in between upgrade that will gradually bump me up?

You probably have a couple of options:

1) Look for a copy of 3.0 or 4.1 on ebay.

2) Have someone who has FM 3.0 or 4.1 do the upgrade for you. This could be a friend for free or a consultant for $.

Perhaps one of the free trial version on the FileMaker Inc web site will do the trick for you. Go to http://www.filemaker.com and follow the links to "trial" software.
