FileMaker Pro 3

We have G4s, G3s and IMacs, most using the 9.04 OS, and when we print the program crashes. This is only happening when we are trying to print.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Can you stop printing? Just kidding!

I would start by verifying that you have the LATEST version of Filemaker 3.x, which I think is v6.

Secondly make sure that you are using standard printer driver, such as the LaserWriter8.

Lastly you may need to consider upgrading the Filemaker 4.x or 5.x, which may work better with OS 9

We had a lot of printing related crashes with Filemaker 3. It got worse with newer versions of MacOS and especially non-postscript printers. Printing to my Epson inkjet caused a crash every time. That was the primary reason we upgraded to FM5. After that, the problem disappeared.
