January 15, 200124 yr Newbies Well, The subject pretty much says it all. FMS 3.0 is installed on a WinNT SP6 computer. The server service start up fine, and all databases are opened. Unfortunately, none of our clients can see the databases (or the server) as online when they click "Hosts" in the 'Open Database' box. Even when I manually define the host (type in the IP adress), it does not see the Server/Databases. The Server PC performs well in other functions of the network and has the latest FMS patch installed. Anybody have any idea what is causing this ?

Can the client machines "ping" the server? ------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Kurt Knippel Consultant Database Resources mailto:[email protected] http://www.database-resources.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
