Runtime/Kiosk Step by Step

Featured Replies

I would like to know if there are any FileMaker "Runtime for Dummies" type documents available. I know nothing about creating runtime files and need a very elementary explaination. I know it's probably a very in-depth topic so I'd appreciate a litte assistance on a place to start. I've looked at the FM Help and it's a couple steps ahead of me.

I have been asked to research FileMaker's ability to create a solution file for an end user that does not have FM client software. My assumption is that it would be a database file I create and then have them run in "kiosk mode". Please correct me if my understanding of this is wrong. The end user doesn't want to have to purchase FileMaker in order to use our solution.

Have you read the FileMaker® Pro 11 Advanced Development Guide that comes with the application?
