Changing enter key to return key

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I was wonder if there was a way to convert my Enter key to a return key so when I type in numbers and hit enter it moves on to the next line. I had it working without a script before but I forgotten how to do it.

Thanks,

in layout mode field behavior options you can choose tab, return, enter to all advance to the next field.

I tried that earlier before the post and it's not what I wanted to do. I don't want to go to the next field (like using tab) I just want to do a hard break/return with my number enter key instead of my return button to the next line down.

It can be made, but you'll need at least v 10 and a script fired by OnObjectKeystroke.

( or a keyboard mapping utility )

Yeah, I had to install a third party keyboard board mapping software. It's free online. The software is called "KeyTweak". For PC only I think. Once I change the keyboard enter to a regular enter like the one with letters. (Technically they should be a the same - Come on Filemaker guys you should know better or at least allow users to changes key within the program without creating scripts for it.)
