Site cant encode data

When accessing a newly created site my browser says' invalid type of compression' or 'cant encode raw data". The FM sample site works fine.

The obvious difference between these two files is mine requires authentication to enter.

Any ideas? thanks

to answer my own question:

The theme was set for iphone but the browser wasn't able to deal with this.
