FIlemaker Unlimited needed for Lasso????

Featured Replies

I am setting up a web server and network and was wondering if FM unlimited is need for sharing with Lasso on the net.

I understand it is needed for web companian when you have machines talking directly to it but since 1 server and 1 IP address is loggin into FM for info via Lasso why is Unlimited needed?

You count the users connected from Web smile.gif" border="0

Standard FM is for 10 users (IP) in 12-hour period.

Unlimited is for unlimited IP connected...

If using external programs such as LAsso, the FileMaker Inc. license require the use of Unlimited I believe.

this is true.........as if you have a RAIC only the IP of your lasso server (s) talks to WC....to get round this as far as I know you need Unlimited license to connect any middleware to the WC

What about FM 4.1? Can I that one with Lasso 5?

Definitely no licensing issues with Lasso 3.x and FMP 4.1? Not sure about LP5.

Performance sucks on WC 4

WC is onlu needed if you are using a Win2K server.

I believe Lasso is talking to WebCompanion on both platforms!?

I have been a lasso developer for many years and believe me I never used Web Companion until I developed for use on a Windows machine.

Thank you for clarifying that smile.gif
