Just started using FileMaker.

Have a situation where my student DB calculates the total hours based on a 42 week year. Student signs up, i insert an 'startdate'. When students terminate, I punch in a 'EndDate' which is kind of ok with regards to the actual dates. Problem appears in the calculation field of the 'StartDate' to = 'LessonTotal' because this calculation method continues even after the student has resigned.

I need a script to stop this from happening, say if I select 'Inactive' status or if I enter an 'EndDate'.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Rena

Hi Rena, and welcome to the forum,

I deleted your duplicate topic that you also posted in the FileMaker Pro 11 General product topic area.

The General topic areas are meant for the discussion of the new feature and tools that were new to that release of the application. All how-to question should be posted to a topic area that best matches the sprit of then problem. Many questions can fit into more then one area, but you only need to pick one, and go with it.

If you have any questions about this action, please contact me through a private message.

Seeing the formula of the calculation field would be useful.
