April 5, 201213 yr The new GUI design tools in FM12 are awsome. Has anyone figured out how to design custom themes or modify the existing ones?
April 5, 201213 yr Newbies On a mac Open the FileMaker Pro 12 package (right click on the icon) in Contents/Resources/Themes you will find a folder for each theme duplicate the one you want, rename it edit the file manifest.xml of your own language and record the new name at this point you are able to see "your theme" in the dedicated FileMaker menu in layout mode the job begins when you have to edit the CSS file of the theme and create/change the related png
April 6, 201213 yr Author Boy, they sure could have made editing these themes a lot easier by giving us a simple HTML template to see your CSS changes.
April 13, 201213 yr Hmm... couldn't we just cobble up a html doc using the elements names for a quick and dirty preview in a wysiwyg editor?
April 13, 201213 yr Rather than mess with the files in the app package, how about copying them into the Themes folder in user/application support/FileMaker/Extensions
April 13, 201213 yr Author Rather than mess with the files in the app package, how about copying them into the Themes folder in user/application support/FileMaker/Extensions Where? I am not seeing any such folders. Are you creating these folders manually?
April 17, 201213 yr Author Rather than mess with the files in the app package, how about copying them into the Themes folder in user/application support/FileMaker/Extensions I have tried this but they do not appear to show up using this method.
April 19, 201213 yr They do in fact show up using that method. Of course you have to create DIFFERENT themes. But FileMaker has declared this whole approach dead and I don't see any point in trying to contradict them.
