randhir Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Is it possible to create a matrix in FM? I am developing something for the hotel industry and they have very complex booking structures. What I would like achieve is the following. On the left from top to bottom are the names of the products such as luxury room, standard room, triple room, lotus, jasmine etc. On the top running from left to right are the date from date1 to date 31. I know the FM portals only display records as rows. How would one create the vertical columns? Can it be done? Maybe similar to a calendar display? Thanks

randhir Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 yet i am not satisfied with this answer. is there any other process
jbante Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 yet i am not satisfied with this answer. No one will be satisfied with the answer to any how-to question with programming until there's a platform where all developers have to do is say "make it so" and clap their hands. You asked if it's possible to make a matrix display in FileMaker. Not only is the answer yes, but there's more than one way to do it to choose from. They may feel like cumbersome workarounds to you, but the world runs on cumbersome workarounds, especially in programming. By all means, keep looking for better solutions to your problems; but please don't let it hold you back from delivering working solutions to your clients' problems. 2
