Why can't we have tick boxes?

Every other app I know uses them... my boss wants them... even the setting in the Filemaker app uses them... why can't we have them!?

We can - if we make them ourselves.

Is it possible that this is a Brittish english v US english? Tic box v check box?

In layout mode, go to INSERT menu :: select FIELD/CONTROL :: select CHECKBOX SET

Nah, everyone understands checkbox was meant but we STILL need to make them ourselves by first creating the value list and then attaching the control to the field.

There is no built-in setting without taking those steps. :-)

I think he means:

Ah! THAT kind of checkbox! Thanks Daniele!

What is the likelihood that Webdings font is installed on the average, modern computer? Does this work on Mac?

Hi Dan,

Webdings is standard on both platforms. The only thing to watch out for is if you change to use a custom theme in 12 - it'll default those pretty icon fonts back to 'a' or whatever so you must respecify them. It's a small thing and webdings is well worth it. :^)
