eoneon123 Posted January 3, 2013 Posted January 3, 2013 I hope I framed the question clearly. Basically I'm wondering if there is a way to run different scripts from a single calc field that's been turned into a button, thereby simulating multiple buttons. For example, lets say I was simulating a hierarchy inside a portal with an "expand" and "collapse" triangle. Visually reading from left to right, the calc field would show an expanded or collapsed triangle, some space, then some text. The first click expands the triangle while the second click collapses the triangle. This works fine and dandy. But lets say that I also wanted to add some command to the right of the text (in the same field), which would trigger a different script. Is there a way to execute that different script based on the lateral and/or vertical position of the mouse click on top of the field button? Thanks in advance. Oh, and I'm running FMP 12.

LaRetta Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 The buttons can be transparent and placed over a single unspecified button. :-) 1
eoneon123 Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 Thanks for the replies. And I do sometimes use transparent buttons but in the case the hierarchal display that I have set up dynamically creates different indent widths in the text. I could try and counter this by also dynamically indenting the invisible command buttons but I'm not so much attached to this proposed set up as much as I wanted to know if it was possible (and easy). Thanks again.
