June 28, 201312 yr I have three tabs on a layout with a container field on each tab that has a linked MS word document within it. I'm trying to create a simple script that will open the linked MS word document on the active tab. Each tab has an object name assigned through the inspector. I thought an If [] statement using the Get (activelayoutobjectname) might work followed by Go to field with (select/perform) checked but it doesn't. I'm sure it should be something quite simple.
June 28, 201312 yr Solution I think what you're looking for is: GetLayoutObjectAttribute( "yourTabObjectName";"isFrontTabPanel" )
June 30, 201312 yr Author I think what you're looking for is: GetLayoutObjectAttribute( "yourTabObjectName";"isFrontTabPanel" ) Thanks Fitch, just the job! I can't find this function though in the list of Get functions or within Filemaker help. Also interested in "isFrontTabPanel", this must be a built in command or something?
June 30, 201312 yr That's because it isn't a Get( ) function. At first glance it may seem confusing but if you look at the function list in alphabetical order you will see it makes sense: Get( GetLayoutObjectAttribute( http://www.filemaker.com/11help/html/help_func_alpha.html#150774 Attributes for GetLayoutObjectAttribute( are listed here: http://www.filemaker.com/11help/html/func_ref3.33.9.html#1027917
