Matthew F Posted July 2, 2013 Posted July 2, 2013 Is there anyway to convert it to jpg and export to desktop? Not that I know of. However, if you're on a Mac, you could probably export it first, and then convert it from PDF to JPG with a filemaker script that use a 'Perform Applescript' step which invokes Preview or an Automator action. (Try googling "applescript convert pdf to jpg") 1
John2710 Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 That is solution which I have as an alternative if i do not find any other solution. I am aiming for more elegant solution which would be system indipendent.
Newbies Synthezoid Posted March 1, 2016 Newbies Posted March 1, 2016 Make a layout that contains nothing but the PDF container. Go into Preview mode. Select "Copy" from the edit menu. Go back into browse mode. Select a second container field and select "Paste" from the edit menu. Viola, a jpg in the second container field of the PDF as displayed in Preview Mode. You can then export the field contents to get it to the desktop. This works perfectly well in a looping script to do this for the entire found set.
MonkeybreadSoftware Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 You can use MBS Plugin to render picture from PDF pages. Either with PDFKit (Mac only) or DynaPDF (pro) functions. http://www.monkeybreadsoftware.de/filemaker/ 1
