Lee Smith Posted July 25, 2013 Posted July 25, 2013 Hi Bob, Your profile shows that you only have the Client version so you can not work with Custom Functions. However, some times you can just past the functions in your Calculation and it will work, unless the are recursive. Instead, check out the demo files at databaselpros
VirtualBob Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 Thanks both of you for the feedback and resources. This will save a lot of time and its great to learn tricks along the way. I'm working temporarily for a NGO that uses FileMaker Advanced, but I may also need to work on standard FileMaker in the future. I haven't developed in FileMaker for about 10 years but its like catching up with an old friend.
Lee Smith Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 Once you use Advance, you will have a hard time going back to client.
Rick Whitelaw Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I'm with Lee on this. Ya can't go back. I can't imagine. I don't even remember all the differences and take for granted things like custom menus. Imagine designing without them!
