June 15, 201411 yr HI, It is easiest if you use a single field called Amount which holds both debit and credit (obviously credit will be minus). In this way, a single summary field called BalanceRunning which is Total of Amount (running) will produce the balance you are seeking. If you truly MUST have two fields (Debit and Credit) then you need to create a calculation called TotalAmount (result is number) with: Debit - Credit and then base your summary field (BalanceRunning) on this TotalAmount field. BTW, your Accounts Portal (on the Accounts layout) will not work since you have the global on the child side. The parent side can be unstored (or global) but the child side (for example a portal) must be indexable. ADDED: Also, you show income as Credit and expense as Debit where it is the other way around; credits are minus. Edited June 15, 201411 yr by LaRetta
June 15, 201411 yr I did indeed switch from contacts to glasses, Steve! Keen observation! Wearing the glasses makes me look more intelligent, don't you think? And the hairless look is in so that too adds to my appeal. The only downside is that it makes my ears look a bit larger but life is a series of trade-offs.
