Cateleb
Hi, I've searched and it may be an oft known thing, but can the length of the dropdown be altered ?
Lee Smith
Hi Cateleb, I think we need more information on what you are trying to accomplish. Why not attach a copy or a mockup of your database and a description with a little more detail of what you have now and what you are wanting to be your results. Cateleb
Hi Lee, attached is a screen of one of the dropdowns .. they all are about the same length and you have to scroll down to click on values further down .. I have about 3 dropdowns where there's only 2 or 3 more values than are showing and I was thinking if I could make the dropdown box a bit longer people wouldn't have to scroll
webko
AFAIK, this is decided on the fly by the GUI, based on where the dropdown is and how much screen real estate is available - try it on a clean layout, and with different window sizes.
bcooney
You could try using a popover with a portal instead. Then you'd have much more control.
Cateleb
hadn't thought of a portal / popover .. thanks bcooney, take away the borders etc .. works a treat
