Is it possible to modify what buttons/info is shown in the top bar?

I'd like to just show the record number, but not the "1/21 Found (Unsorted)" or any of the grayed out buttons. (I'm using Filemaker Pro Advanced 13)

Yes, you can right-click on the toolbar and customize which buttons appear.

However, you can't remove the Found count, and it doesn't really matter because the customized toolbar will only apply to YOUR copy of FileMaker. You cannot control the icons that your users choose to add or remove.

It sounds like maybe you'd want to add a Hide/Lock toolbar step to your startup script.

You can easily add the record number to your layout using Insert > Record Number Symbol.

Thanks Fitch.

I did a little digging around and doing a script to show/hide seems the best way to go, but then I lose the Quick Find field which is something that is needed.

I wish I could add the Quick Find field in the actual layout (as opposed to in the toolbar).

Note that in the help it mentions Custom Quick Find field. This would be a field you create and place on your layout. It's been a while since I did this, but I believe the field should be a Global. It works great. I'm not at a computer at the moment. Otherwise I would provide all the details.
