i recentely uploaded my solution to webdirect, however my users are complaining that one can`t use the back button from the browser as one can usually do in a browser. if one wants to go back he gets taken entirely out of the solution and he needs to sign in again which i s extremely annoying.

how can i enable the back button to work and if that is not possible is it possible to put a button on my solution which takes me to the previos screen. - how would i script that...???

i also want to know how would i develop that my new window opens in a new tab in the browsert lkike in Filemaker pro rather than just on top .

please can someone help me out with this .

Not played with WebDirect a huge amount - but you can't change the standard back button's behaviour - the WebDirect solution is effectively all contained in a frame, so Back will go to the previous actual web page, rather than the previous screen (or so I believe).

Your button would need to trigger a script that works out what the previous layout was, and goes there.
