Sounds like an EFI product. Filemaker 9 may make this easier than before, since you can view live sql data in FM. Good luck on the EFI product. I'm migrating our company away from PSI completely now.

If you don't need to edit these fields on this particular layout, you can do this with text; enter layout mode and type this <> <>

ender, I just re-read all the replies, and noticed that you are using XMChart also. I have a few calculations that I test my file with, and I think I found a problem with the CF. I've attached a picture of a layout which is 19x25 with 15- 4x7 pieces being cut out of it. The CF says I will get 16 out.

I'm also working on the "Swing" or "Dutch" aspect for a printing company. I plan to use XMChart for the visual aspect of it. Now if I can figure out how to use the custom function. Thanks for that.

Hi Everyone. I'm a little stumped. I'm trying to do the following with a script. I've got a text field that is assigning a number like so: 1 2 3 etc. Is there a way to remove, the number 2 without doing it manually? Thanks for any and all help

I'm having with a tracking idea. I have 2 tables, jobs and line items. I'm trying to show the status of all related line items on the jobs layout. ex. the jobs layout has "ironing required" field that shows it's needed. Each line item has the same field. I'm trying to get the jobs layout to show "ironing needed", even if only one record needs it. Currently, when the first related record is "needed", it shows, otherwise it's ignoring the other related records. Please help. I've attached an example file, because I'm awful at explaining what I mean. Thanks IroningExample.zip

Hi Jarvis. I created a date calculation field that changes the color depending on the current date. I was curious about the color control also. Check the field definition for the due_date_calc field. HTH.
