Karina_TX Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Hi, So i want balance field to be red when it is less that the amount_due and green when it is equal to amount_due. How do i do that? there is a simple calculation in the balance field. I tried conditional formatting both value and formula but didn't work. Thanks.
Lee Smith Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 See if this works for you For the red Confitional Formatting yourField::Balance ≤ Confitional Formatting yourField::Amount_Due For the green Confitional Formatting yourField::Balance ≥ Confitional Formatting yourField::Amount_Due
Lee Smith Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) Strange, it work in my test file. can you attach your file? 43 minutes ago, Karina_TX said: that didn't work BTW. this response doesn't tell me anything. Edited October 29, 2017 by Lee Smith added BTW

Lee Smith Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Will you have access soon? Try changing the operators from the "Equal to or" to just the Greater than and Less than.
Karina_TX Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 Hi Lee, I just got internet. I attached my file Please tell me how to fix that problem because i tried both solutions did not work. Thanks a lot. Property Database Copy.fmp12
doughemi Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 (edited) See if this helps. Property Database Copy_DH.fmp12 EDIT: Your sample does not show your attempt. Note that the calculation in my Balance field is unstored. Is yours? Edited November 1, 2017 by doughemi
Karina_TX Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 i couldn't see the conditional formatting every time i click i get this error . can you write what you did?
Lee Smith Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 (edited) I modified your file to show what I suggested before. I think you misunderstood what was to be put into the Conditional Formatting boxes Property Database CopyMod.fmp12 I should have put your fields without the Confitional Formatting yourField:: i.e. just Balance and Amount_Due On 10/27/2017 at 9:22 PM, Lee Smith said: Balance ≤ Amount_Due For the green Balance ≥ Amount_Due HTH Lee Edited November 1, 2017 by Lee Smith added more information

Karina_TX Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 Part of it works. what about when the balance is equal to the amount due should be green? Can you please post a screenshot of the formatting box? so i can see what you did.
Lee Smith Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Open the Conditional Formatting on the balance, and change the the purple (the color of the text in the rest of the layout) to Green. 1
