Conditional formatting

Featured Replies

Hi,

So i want balance field to be red when it is less that the amount_due and green when it is equal to amount_due. How do i do that? there is a simple calculation in the balance field. I tried conditional formatting both value and formula but didn't work. Thanks.

See if this works for you

For the red

Confitional Formatting yourField::Balance  ≤  Confitional Formatting yourField::Amount_Due

For the green

Confitional Formatting yourField::Balance ≥ Confitional Formatting yourField::Amount_Due

i am using my phone i dont have internet in my house yet. ok here is what i did:

i right click on the balance field click conditional formatting, click add, in the condition section

value is less than amount_due

fill color red

another add

value is equal to amount_due

fill color green

after i hit ok it fills the field with red wether it is less or equal.

Will you have access soon?

Try changing the operators from the "Equal to or" to just the  Greater than and Less than.

EDIT: Your sample does not show your attempt. Note that the calculation in my Balance field is unstored. Is yours?

I modified your file to show what I suggested before. I think you misunderstood what was to be put into the Conditional Formatting boxes

I should have put your fields without the Confitional Formatting yourField::   i.e. just Balance and Amount_Due

Balance  ≤ Amount_Due

For the green

Balance ≥ Amount_Due

Part of it works. what about when the balance is equal to the amount due should be green?

Can you please post a screenshot of the formatting box? so i can see what you did.

Open the Conditional Formatting on the balance, and change the the purple (the color of the text in the rest of the layout) to Green.
