Hello,

I am trying to do lookup from one table to next via script. I made a button A in table1 and after clicking it, it should open a record matching the ID number of table 2.

How can I do that?

thanks

Hello

I'm afraid your post doesn't give me enough detail to answer your question. Maybe have a look at https://fmforums.com/guidelines/ and post the question with some more information, even a sample file of what you have so far would help.

Hi Anjan101,

I agree with rwoods, and his suggest about reading the Guidelines is a good one. Steps #5 to Step 8 provide the information we are looking for.
Please Note: Step 7 states "You can reference generic terms such as table::field or use your own nomenclature"   however, experience has proven that the actual names for things such as your Fields, Layouts, Relationships,  (TOs) will helps us understand your schema better, thereby speeding up our responses with better accuracy.

If you attach a copy, or a mockup of your file, it will also speed up the process.

TIA

Lee
