Rich Text Editor missing file

Featured Replies

Help!  I had a Rich Text Editor working perfectly and, suddenly, it displayed just a "?" even though the underlying field still had all the data in it.

I tried re-configurating but it said "This action cannot be performed because the required table is missing".   I tried closing Filemaker, uninstalling the Editor and re-installing it.  I tried  deleting the accessory tables and starting the whole installation from scratch and adding it to a new layout.  Previously, it had 2 tables installed but now it only installs one file: RichTextEditorAddon.

I tried checking anything in the Inspector that needs updating but, everything I do, it still says the required table is missing.

And, yes, the layout does have a single table and I have a field "NoteText" field on the layout to store the data.

What am I doing wrong?

I'm delighted to advise that I solved the problem.  When I uninstalled, it deleted the supporting table but not the supporting scripts.  So, when I re-installed, the scripts were still looking for a table where the name had got corrupted.  I un-installed again and manually deleted the table and all scripts and re-installed and it works again perfectly!!
