Convert *fmp5 files to *fmp12

Featured Replies

I've read to open my previous fmp5 files, I need to first get them to fmp7 format. I run FileMaker Pro 18 Advance currently on MacOS 10.15.  I found site that says I can download Filemaker 11 <https://filemaker-pro-advanced.software.informer.com/11.0/> but will that not overwrite my current installation? And, will it even run on my OS?

I only need to get the data out of the files.

Ah, forgot about that. Farewell dBs.

No. I have 5 different versions installed, incl. v.11 and v.18. Each one is an independent application.

However, your link points to a site that seems to focus on pirated software. I would be extremely wary to install anything from there. If the links on the Claris page work, then use their trial version.

It might and it might not. You won't know unless you try (or unless someone with the same configuration reports). I am running v.11 under macOS 10.13 and it crashes without a fail when certain actions are performed - among them converting a .fp5 file. But the file is successfully converted and can be opened (i.e. converted further) by v.18.

Not sure what that refers to.

Definitely not my intention for pirated software! I think will have problem with OS anyway. I run OS10.15 (Catalina).
