Guest Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 Have a set of databases hosted on a FM Server. When one client tries to access the server and open one of the database files it gets a error dialog that reads. File XXXXX can not be open because of Error #6.
danjacoby Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 OK, this is not the correct place for your post -- this board is for feedback about the boards themselves. But since we're here, may I suggest that unregistered users not be able to make posts? I recall recently an opinionated post by "Anonymous" with which I disagreed; it would be nice to know who's posting, so that I can take that person's other posts with a grain of salt.
Lee Smith Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 Hi Dan, I agree 100% with you. I don't see any need for someone wanting to participate on a list such as this, to need to hid their ID's. Screen names are okay, but their real identity should be their profiles. Otherwise, they're welcome to lurk, but not receive the Benefits of being a member (i.e. post, download samples, upload samples, etc.)> Of course, maybe it's because I don't have anything to Hide?? Lee
Guest Posted May 23, 2003 Posted May 23, 2003 This is the only forum (Support) where unregistered users are allowed to post this was for the few who have issues with their browsers and are unable to register.
danjacoby Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Hm. You might start by updating your browser. I recently updated mine, because so many sites were giving me problems. I highly recommend it.
Ugo DI LUCA Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Dan, What are you doing here. Chatting with a wall.... And what if that wall firstname started with a S. and was just answering both Lee and your posts ?
Lee Smith Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 I also figured that out after seeing his post in another thread. However, Sorry Steve, your "support" comment made no sense at all. Lee
Ugo DI LUCA Posted May 24, 2003 Posted May 24, 2003 Hi Lee, Well, some months ago, some users had some issues with Safari. They couldn't login at all. Check the threads on this Forum Section and you'll see that thanks to that some would have had their problem solved. May be this Forum should be splitted in 2 (support and Feedback) as I agree with you that only members or registered users could make some feedback about a list they joined into. It also happens to me once to hit the post button while not being logged. I didn't realized I wasn't logged and could post on this section. I just hope (but really don't think so) that this wasn't the post Dan disagreed with. It was just a proverb
