Newbies Ben Rashleigh Posted May 24, 2003 Newbies Posted May 24, 2003 Hi All, It time for me to upgrade from my Mac OS 9.2 Webstar 4.5/Web Server Connector to Mac OSX. The plan is to keep running FMU (v6) on a win2k box and upgrade the web server to something on Mac OSX. I would prefer to not buy OS X server and instead just use the built in Apache on OS X 10.2.6, so my question basically is: What does the latest version of FM Web Server Connector work with on MacOSX? Does it work without OS X server? Does it work on OS X 10.2.6 (non-server)? What versions of Apache does it work with? - Has anybody used it with Apache 2? My other option is to not use a web server connector and treat the win2k box with FMU as a web server as well. Does anybody know what the speed difference would be doing this (assuming that I still used my main web server to serve all static stuff, like images etc...) I know I wouldn't be able to use RAIC, but that doesn't bother me at the moment. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Regards, Ben Rashleigh.
dwal Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 Ben, Have you found an answer? I too would like to use FM Web Server Connector on MacOSX without purchasing MacOSX Server.
