Web Companion vs Web Server Connector

What are the differences between Web Server Connector and Web Companion for getting a simple data base up and runnin gusing CDML? I know tha WSC will let you balance any thing else to say this is the WSC is better for something very basic. (Here are the catergories pick what you want, then FileMaker returns all the possible choices with in that catergory).
