I know that this issue has already been discussed on this forum, but perhaps there have been some new developments that can help me with my problem. I run FMU 6 on two old Pentium II machines (one with Windows NT, one with Windows 2000) and more and more frequently FMU takes up all resources, rendering the computer unusable (more so on Win2000 than NT). Restarting FM helps, but only for a limited time.

I cannot imagine using slower computers, albeit such a solution has been proposed for this problem. In fact, I am just about to move my servers to faster computers. All previous discussions dealt with FMU 5.0 and 5.5, apparently the issue is still a problem with FM 6. Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Hi! Various folks have had similar problems with various setups. I do not think everyone is having the same problem so one person's fix may not work for someone else. Until you can find your particular solution, though, maybe try to have your server re-boot everyday automatically. This has helped some people but it has not been enough for others. Keep an eye on the FMU Unexpectedly Quitting post, too. Maybe someone w/more Windows experience will be able to give you something more specific, though. --ST
