Hi,

After the installation of Boreland Interbase on my server, i cannot re-open Filemaker Unlimited.

Here is the error messsage;

The procedure entry point __lc_collate_cp could not be located in the dynamic link library MSVCRT.dll

Any idea ?

Perhaps Interbase has installed a dll file that FMP does not like. Uninstall FMP then install it again.

Hi Eric,

One possible cause of this error is that Interbase has written past the block of memory that is owned by FM Unlimited. The MSVCRT.dll incorporates heap control structures within the small-block heap. Overwriting the memory block (which is what Interbase possibly did) changes small-block heap pointer addresses, effecting a bad pointer and possibly a fault in Msvcrt.dll when the pointer is referenced by Unlimited.

Microsoft released a new version of the Msvcrt.dll which deals with this type of problem. Search on their website and update if Vaughans suggestion does not work.
