I am going mad!!!

I am trying to load data from a Filemaker database into the dynamic text fields in Macromedia Flash (variables). I am sure that someone on planet Earth has done this, and with ease.

My ISP guys are using an Apple Mac G4 server with webstar.

I would love someone to assist me with advice.

Thanks for your advice, Garry,

I went back over stuff. I have also tried the loadVariables() action, but no success. I believe that entering the loadVariables() parenthesis with varying combinations of CDML syntax, but with no luck whatsoever.

I have tried various names for the dynamic text boxes, using CDML syntax, etc, but again no luck. Could you suggest an example Flash file as atutorial? Someone somewhere must have done this. It is driving me nuts!

Here is an example:

loadvariables("/FMPro?-db=mydb.fp5&-format=myvars.txt&-findany",0)

The 'myvars.txt' format file could look like this:

myvar1=[FMP-Field:myvar1]&myvar2=[FMP-Field:myvar2]

The variables myvar1 and myvar2 would have been already declared at level 0.

All the best.

Here is are some sample files. I'm using Flash MX for Mac OSX and FileMaker 5.5 and 6. I have done alot of this and dynamic pulldowns. I hate to see go through what I went through to get such a simple thing done. If you have any other question email me

P.S. There is on error checking in this Flash file. Its straight forword.
