Newbies FriedBob Posted September 5, 2004 Newbies Posted September 5, 2004 I've got this database with a number of form letters in it. We are in the process of migrating part of the database from FMP 4.0 to Access 2K3. Is there any way to extract the (static) letter part? The rest of the relevant data I've already exported. In pointers to docs or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
LiveOak Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I suppose you could copy and paste the text, but anything more organized such as copying entire layout intact is probably prevented by the very different structures of FM and Abcess (er Access ;-) ). -bd
Fitch Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 If it's a LOT of layouts, you might want to look at automating the copy-paste with a macro tool such as autoit or QuicKeys. But if you're not familiar with macro programs, it will probably take you longer to figure it out than to just copy and paste. OTOH it will give you an excuse to learn something new. Never hurts to add a new tool to your toolbox.
