Im looking in to using PHP (fxforge or fh-and-php)to create CWP and FM Pro 8adv for my db...

Is there anything else i need to get started?

Do i need to run FM Server 8?

You'll want (need) Server 8 Advanced for any kind of actual production. You can use Pro 8 if everything is running off of your one computer. But this kind of setup, for the most part, is just for initial programming and testing. Since Server 8 Advanced isn't available yet, I'm going to presume that the setup and such will be simular to Server 7 Advanced. There are several white papers available on the FileMaker website that tell how all this works.

I used fxforge and it created clean code that worked well with FX.php

You need (besides Filemaker)

- Apache 1.3 or higher

- PHP 4.5 or higher

Filemaker Server is advised

Should be done on two machines

a) Server 7 advanced or 8 when it comes out

Apache / PHP web hosting machine with Filemaker client software.
