Sam Laundon Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 I have been trying for hours trying to get fx.php to work on FM Server Advanced without not luck. In the past I have been able with little effort to get it all to work on FM 6 Unlimited. I have talked with Stephen Knight at the FMWebSchool and he sent me a new solution that he said would work with Server Advanced, but I still get blank results page from a search (I have attached the file, Username = Admin Password = mysunshine). Here is what I have configured so far: I have configured server_data.php to contain my ip address I have turned on fmxml in the privilge set. Set permissions in FM 7 Server Advanced to fmserver and fmsadmin. I am running Apache on Mac 10.4. I would appreciate any advice that would help me crack this nut. Thanks in advance - Sam MyContacts.fp7.zip fx_website.zip
Garry Claridge Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) I have been testing, and it seems to be working fine from here: http://61.9.216.114/fx_website/ (Try "Smith" as the Last Name for the search.) It is accessing your database, however the PHP is running here. I did notice that the "server_data.php" file contains: $webCompanionPort = 80 Is Apache running on the same computer? Do any errors appear in the Console log of "/var/log/httpd/error_log"? All the best. Garry Edited November 26, 2005 by Guest
Sam Laundon Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 Thanks Garry, I got it running, but don't ask me what I did. There are so many things to check on this. I took an old solution from fmwebschool and got that database and companion files to work. I maybe asking more questions here as I have finally bitten the bullet and am developing a php solution for my clients. I have been using IWP and for the most part it works great, but the block pop-up windows can still be a problem for some of my clients. Thanks again - Sam
