http://www.filemaker.com/support/downloads/index.html

This software installs version 8.0v1a of the FileMaker Server 8 Advanced Web Publishing Engine. If a previous version is already installed, it will be updated to version 8.0v1a.

Be sure to read the Important Installation Notes and Instructions provided with the software download. Here is version history for your reference.

1. New in FileMaker Server Advanced 8.0v1aWeb Publishing Engine 1.1. Custom Web Publishing 1.1.1. Fixed a problem that caused data truncation in FMPXMLRESULT.xml .

FMPXMLRESULT.xml no longer returns invalid XML when referencing a layout that contains a field from an unrelated table.

1.1.2. Fixed an additional problem that also caused data truncation in FMPXMLRESULT.xml .

FMPXMLRESULT.xml no longer returns invalid XML when referencing a layout that contains data from a related table that does not contain any records.

This update also allows you to place the related field directly on the layout without the need for a portal.

Useful if you only have a single related record.

The problem I encounter often is referencing a layout that has related fields but no related records. I.e., if the related fields are completely blank, the query fails or does something to make my PHP code fail.

This is not quite the same problem that this update references, but it's close. I'll test to see if it solves the problem.
