I know I shouldn't have to ask this, but I have a question about portals and related records. I have a layout showing records from a table we'll call 'A'. And on that layout is a portal showing records from a table we'll call 'B'. Now, on the portal row along with information from B, I want to include information from a table we'll call 'C', that is not necessarily related to A, but is definitely related to B.

I thought that was possible, but it's not working out. And if it doesn't work, then I am in big trouble, because I've finally worked out all the complexities in this database and everything else works. Everything!!! I will be so sad if I can't get this last small but extremely important detail worked out.

Thanks!!

Changed title to be more fitting. :)

A small correction.

After a bit more testing, I just found out that it works in the first two rows, but not after that. I will attach a copy of the database, but I will also warn you that it is a very rough database right now; I just want to get the main idea to work before I go making changes in the entire database. Very, very strange.

Your file is asking for a file called Banquette or something. When I opened it, there is a lot of "Tab" s missing a related table.

there is no password. Just hit enter. Also, I know that there are a lot of tables missing. That's what I meant by rough database. It was an old database that I ripped apart due to management's new demands. The bit I'm working on now is on the layout 'new schedule', which it should open automatically to, nad the only column I'm worried about is Monday AM. Nothing else matters right now. I just find it very odd that it would display the shift time for some rows, but not all. There must be some kind of relational error at some point.

I had a look at this too Amber.

There's an error trap in the script that I'm not sure about. There are no comments in your script so it's difficult to see what's supposed to be happening. Certainly the "Last Error" step is in the wrong place as I can't imagine you'd want to test if they could switch between hide/show the status panel.

Your "Keyx" fields may give you problems as you are using them in relationships and they cannot be indexed as they use a global as a derivative. Consequently they can only ever be the "key" of the relationship, but can't be matched in the reverse manner.

It's not showing the time because there is no related record in the 'assigned' table for that row. I'm afraid I can't say much more, since I don't understand the structure.
