I have used FM 6 Unlimited's Web Server Connector (WSC) successfully on a G4 Xserve for a few years to put a database online in a dynamic web page.

I recently upgraded to an Intel Mac Xserve and found that I could not run WSC. When installed it breaks Apache and gives an error saying it cannot load the module.

Can someone confirm that WSC is broken on Intel Macs before I waste time trying to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!

Apache runs as an x86-native application whereas the WSC is a Power-PC app. x86 apps can't load PPC app modules. You'll find this true of the x86 version of FMP attempting to load PPC plug-ins where you need to run FMP under Rosetta to load the PPC plug-ins.

It sounds like Apache might be behaving in a similar manner. I don't know if/how you can run Apache as a PPC app under Rosetta to enable loading PPC modules.
