Portal only adding 2 recors

Featured Replies

I am using a portal to create new records in a related field, however, each time I enter new data it only makes 2 records in the relating table and updates them with the last 2 I entered. It also erases the old records if I start a new record in the layout the protal is in and saves 2 new records based on the new primary key (auto serialized). How do I put a button in the portal to create a new record in the table that the portal is related to?

It says my permission set does not allow me to view it. Also could I resize the protal to only show the last record and the blank one and just make a bunch of rows? If I can't make a button to add new records?

Hi Bill. I would suggest that you take a look at the whitepaper that is linked in my signature file. It has some good ideas.

You can use globals to allow the users to enter data and then hit an add button to add the data to the related table. Personally, I dont have my users create a new record by entering data into a new empty portal row.

Thank you, I am reading a number of books and that has helped, at least to point me towards terms I needed to learn.
