record subset

Featured Replies

Hello folks,

Is it possible for user that have a specific privilege (owner) showing them only (and when I say only means only) a subset of the records I have in a table?

Basically only the records that have the user's username as a "managed by" field.

Everything must be web-compatible.

Thanks for your help and have a nice day!

do an advanced search for record level access

Thanks buddy

I have downloaded the demo you made and it is what I need but (since by FM ignorance) I don't understand exactly how it works.

Could you please explain it to me?

Thank you so much

Once you log in as the admin account, take a look at the privilege set called: RestrictedUser

P.S. Sorry I didnt see that you replied to this post.

Hello,

I have defined the privileges as you did but instead displaying only the records that satisfy my condition, FM shows all the records with "no access" label for the records that don't satisfy the condition.

Let us say for my restrictedUser I want to display only the records with an odd number as a code. When a restrictedUser logs in he sees something like:

code | city

----------------------

1 | Boston

|

3 | New York

|

5 | Rancho Cucamanga

|

....

How can I display only the records that satisfy my condition?

THANKS and HAVE A NICE DAY
