November 18, 201114 yr Newbies I am especially interested in the information on good Filemaker design that was presented. Thanks Neil Murphy
November 18, 201114 yr Not of DevCon itself. A couple of the presenters recorded post-DevCon videos of what they presented...but I only remember Todd Geist off the top of my head. Check out his blog. You could, and should, go look at the PauseOnError.com site. They have a bunch of videos posted on Vimeo. It doesn't look like all the videos made it up there...but there are some.

November 18, 201114 yr Hi Neil, and welcome to the FM Forums, Sorry about the multiple moves, I was misled by your topic DevCon. I realized my mistake when I started to reply and saw that it was about a specific need, of layout design. I move your topic to here, Eye Candy, where there are several discussions about design. You might also want to check out the ISO Magazine site: www.filemakermagazine.com where Matt Petrosky has written several articles, some with examples, about design. He also often provides links and reviews for other tools that are available at other sites. Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with his site other than I'm a customer. Hope this helps, Lee
November 19, 201114 yr I think that they aren't allowed to post Dev-Con stuff. This is to encourage people to actually go, I suppose.
November 19, 201114 yr I think that they aren't allowed to post Dev-Con stuff. I think that it would depend on what you're sharing. Lots of the developers come back from DevCon excited about the different techniques, speakers, etc. that they saw. It probably would be a problem if they started posting handouts such as sample file, without the author's permission and it's. John Mark Osborne, used to post his presentation files on his site. However, it looks like it's been 5 or 6 years. Anyway, there is enough information about design etc. available in different places. Lee
November 20, 201114 yr No, Lee, I explicitly remember a discussion on TechNet that discussed that presenters aren't allowed to post their presentations.
November 20, 201114 yr I wasn't referring to the presenters, I was referring to the attendees. I can understand that the presenters might be signing some kind of the nondisclosure agreement, but I'm sure this is not true for the attendees. I dropped my membership to TechNet a couple years ago, and only recently rejoined. Therefore, I miss the discussion you referred to in your post. I just did a search at TechNet, for NDA and Devcon, and the results do not provide any insight to what you're talking about. Could you give me the topic name with the date so I can do some further searching. Thank you, Lee
