Newbies craigstevens Posted March 5, 2001 Newbies Share Posted March 5, 2001 I would like to allow users to access a FM server directly, over the internet. We have a firewall that alows reverse TCP conections. However a port for the hosting address has to be specified. I cannot find any documentation that details a port to use (and I have tried the web port of 591). Any help would be appreciated

Charles Fowler
I tried this, no luck, perhaps I'm doing something wrong? I'm running FMPro Server v. 3 on a network connected to the internet with a router
LiveOak
Maker sure that TCP/IP access is enabled on FM Server. Beyond this, it's probably the router programming. -bd
Anatoli
Ports are at IANA registered ports. You need to set also UDP packets.
Newbies bios Posted April 14, 2001 Newbies Share Posted April 14, 2001 I've set the router to open 5003 on both UDP and tcp/ip.. yet still I can only get through sometimes.. is there an explination for this?
aeleth
Make sure you're using DHCP leasing and not static addresses on your LAN. This could possibly cause an intermittent access problem that you are describing. [ May 16, 2001: Message edited by: aeleth ]
