December 26, 201213 yr I need to have access to FileMaker pro's regular icons. Are those available to us to when designing new layouts. I am not interested in getting free icons but use the FMP ones. However, if accessible I do not know how to get to them. Could someone help me? I am using MAC's. Thanks again. Daniel
December 26, 201213 yr Um..not sure what your goal is. afaik, the icons in the Status bar are not "available" to us.
December 26, 201213 yr Author I do like the design of the add "New empty record, Create a duplicate record, Delete the current record and Find record" filemaker pro icons the way they are. I would like to use those buttons in the shape they currently are, I would only have to customized their functionalities to meet the need of my application. I thought I saw somewhere on the web those were available to fmp developpers but do not know how to get at them. Thanks! Daniel
December 26, 201213 yr Ah, now I understand where you are going with this. See Custom Menus to change the standard behavior of these buttons.
December 26, 201213 yr Author I will also use the show/Hide Status... function. I should have added not only change will I change the behavior of those buttons but also change their location on the overall layout. Daniel
April 30, 201312 yr hi, the title and functionality of the icons in the status bar etc. can be changed: - create a new custom menu set - change the title to whatever you like - override the default behaviour by adding a script to it. although this will change the behaviour of any item you can not change the position of the items in the status toolbar. they depend on the individual settings on each customers computer. the icons itself can be found within the filemaker application itself (Contents/Resources/). hth pixi
December 17, 201411 yr I might be over simplifying this, but you could take a screen shot with FM open, then you an image editor to copy select the buttons, crop them and save them as files which you could then use in your layouts?
December 17, 201411 yr On a Mac you can dig into the application's package contents by right-clicking the app. You should find the icons hiding in there somewhere.
