While practicing with my first solution, I created a new layout for my fields. these fields where containing student informations from year one to year five. So using the TAB TOOL, i assebled the fields to be placed on TABS (created four 5 tabs in total for each year)

Now, I mistakenly moved all fields in the first tab (ie YEAR ONE) , and now i cant grab or move out the fields for the other TABS... all are stock inside YEAR ONE TAB...

Each time i tried to highlight the fields to copy, the whole TAB seems to be highlighted, PLEASE HOW DO I UNTAB the fields or move some fields out of a TAB?

To deselect the Tab (or any object) while keeping the other items selected, just hold down the shift button and click on the tab again.

Also see this tip from FileMaker help:

http://www.filemaker.com/help/13/fmp/en/html/edit_layout.10.3.html

If you click and drag starting outside your tab, the cursor selects everything it touches, including the tab.

However, if you hold down the correct modifier key when doing the drag operation, you only select objects entirely within your drag rectangle.

Regarding your other question, I recommend always using the "View New Content" feature, look towards the top right of the screen here.

For viewing just your things, find your name in the upper right corner of the page.  If you click it, one of the options is 'my content.' :-)

Also one of the settings in your profile allows email to be sent to you if someone replies to your post.
