stuj1026
I am writing a Point of Sale System for a friend and he would like it to be accessed with a touch screen. In other words the buttons on the screen I define and attach scripts to he would like to be able to hit the screen instead of going to the mouse and navigating ... Any thoughts on how I would do this? Stu
falkaholic
AFAIK, touch screens just emulate being a mouse. If a user pressing on a part on the screen, its like clicking there. It could be up to the touch screen though.

Mark Appleby
I Noticed your thread. Iam also trying to put together a touch screen till for use in the Jewellery business. My biggest problem though is when I create buttons for entering text it seems to work very slowly. Each button has a one line script of enter text "?" but will not work quickly enough for someone entering a number at a reasonable pace. Is there an other way of doing this? agraham999
A touch screen should work no differently (speed-wise) than a mouse or keyboard. You may have a driver issue. Check with the company or switch to a different monitor.
