Well done there Alex... With your change it works great on both PC and Mac with no need to start looking back! BTW you should know that it works poorly on my Nintendo Play Station. Hey Alex, I’m happy everyone loves your solution and I’m sure you’ve enjoyed the accolades. But I must tell you I got nothin out of it. I found it boring, un-insightful and totally devoid of best FileMaker functionality. The scripting is juvenile, the calculations are menial and the layout lacks in appearance and substance. It took me a moment to realize that I had inadvertently opened one of my own solutions. My bad, sorry there buddy! There is one thing however that’s very wrong and terribly sad and that is your statement [color:red]“Sorry, i've haven't dealt with macs for a while so this never really occurred to me.” This is indeed a sad-sad-sad statement of fact my friend! I admit using a PC once myself but was smart enough to grab it by the cord and throwing it out the “Windows”! Well done Alex even though I’m sure you got the idea from me! Love Ya Man, Harry

Hey John, I think you may be right, something you are not well known for by the way! : I've looked at a couple plug-in options for QuickBooks, but man I don't like using plug-ins... I'm frankly surprised by the lack of FileMaker accounting and/or check writing solutions. I know of a couple high end packages written in FMP, but you'd think, at least a check writing solutions would be as available as a contact management package. I've always stayed away from accounting solutions from the developer standpoint and really don't want to change my mind after all these many years. Maybe you're right John, maybe the QuickBooks direction. Harry

Man Oh Man you guys have me answering myself and that just can't be good. I've always stayed away from accounting solutions and I guess you guys have too. It's a different beast for sure. What about a check writing solution? I remember back in the, gosh it must have been FMP4, a couple decent check writing solutions but have not seen one since. What about you guys, do you know of one? Please don't make me build one I just don't wanna! So what say you Mondookers? Harry
