  1. Hi, During the process of attempting to configure Mirror Sync, when we attempt to choose the database name, we receive an error 959, Unknown error. This error tells us it is unable to load the database names and we cannot proceed. We have confirmed the following: 1) XML is enabled on FMS 2) The FM account we are attempting to access has XML enabled 3) We have re-started the FMS machine and the status shows XML is activated. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks, Paul
  2. Hi Everyone, We have had a CWP solution running for several months on a WIN 2003 Server. We recently upgraded both the server, OS and FileMaker Server software. On the new machine the FileMaker files seem to be running much better than before, but unfortunately the CWP pages now seem to load in minutes rather than seconds. We moved the php files directly from the old to the new server and have also tried loading "fresh" copies of the php files. Because the CWP files are basically useless on the new machine, we have had to keep the old machine running so our clients websites would still function. Here are the configurations for the two machines: OLD WIN Server 2003, Enterprise, SP 2 Intel Xeon 2.50 GHz 1.95 GB RAM 60 GB Hard Drive IIS v6.0 PHP v5.2.6 build 5/2/08 FileMaker Server Advanced v10.0.2.206 NEW WIN Server 2008, Enterprise without Hyper-V, SP 2 6 Core AMD Opteron 2.60 GHz (2 processors) 32 bit OS 2.0 GB RAM 60 GB Hard Drive IIS v7.0 PHP v5.2.11 build 9/16/09 FileMaker Server Advanced v11.0.1.95 Any ideas or suggestions as to why we are seeing such a significant performance drop with the same php files on updated hardware and software? I am hesitant to go back to the older version of php, because the version currently on the new server is what is indicated in the FileMaker documentation. Thanks, Paul
  3. Hi, We have a fairly complex system hosted with FMSA v10.02 on WIN Server 2003. We created a separate set of mobile TO with 5 of the main tables in the system. We also have dedicated layouts for each of the pages in the Site Assistant based on the mobile TO. These layouts only contain the actual fields used in the Site Assistant pages. We have used the Site Assistant with the iPhone theme to create a "Full Site with Record Edit". We can successfully login, search and browse for records. Whenever we attempt to submit a new record or any edits in current records, we get the "error 102 field is missing" and the data is not committed. The log viewer in the FMSA admin console does not show any errors. We have also tried hosting the files with FMS v11 on WIN Server 2008 and receive the same error 102. Any idea as to what is causing this error or steps we can take to debug or troubleshoot the issue? Thanks, Paul
  4. Thanks for the reply, I was just typing my post. I had just discovered that my testing calculation, which I had copied from another table, was stored. Sorry to take up the bandwidth. Thanks, Paul
  5. When I use the GetLayoutObjectAttribute("MyWebViewerName":"source") I get the url of the original web viewer page, even though the web viewer status area shows the new url that is being loaded as a result of the search. When I use GTLOA("MyWebViewerName":"content") I get the source code of the original web viewer page and not the source of the search result. Is there a way to "trigger" the GetLayoutObjectAttribute that I am missing? Thanks, Paul
  6. We are attempting to use several online search engines ( ie Sample Recruiting Search) to link recruiting data to prospects in our system. Once the results page has been returned and the specific recruit has been selected, we would like to link the url for his page to his record in the database. If we do the search in a web browser we can manually copy and paste the url. We would like to "capture" the url from within the webviewer. Unfortunately when we try to capture the source, the page url or recruit ID code is not explicitly listed in the code. All we would really need is to capture the information displayed in the webviewer status area as it loads. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Paul
  7. Hi Everyone, We are trying to determine what options are available for using FileMaker Server 9 as a data source for a MS Word merge on a Mac? Direct connect to a FM v7 and higher file is not possible. We have attempted to export an Excel file which showed "AutoFormat field" and no data. And we were unable to connect via ODBC even though MS Word on a Win machine could access the same data source just fine. In the back of my mind I am starting to recall that this may not be possible on a Mac. Are there any options? Thanks, Paul
  8. Our CRM solution has contained two types of email solutions. First is an email merge template using the FileMaker Send Mail script and the other is iMailer from DataDesigns. Now our clients are requesting a more full featured html email solution with the following requirements. 1) Library of templates which can be easily edited and selected 2) Ability to imbed various merge fields and links into the document 3) Various tracking parameters linked to individual recipients (bounces, opens, clicks, forwards). Within the solution we keep a log of all correspondence and we would like to be able to include the email parameters in the log. 4) Ability to send as html, plain text or both We would prefer to use their local campus smtp mail servers, but we would consider some form of hosted email service. Has anyone developed this type of “module” for their solution? We would appreciate any recommendations or guidance the list is able to provide. Please contact me directly if you have a specific product which would meet our needs. TIA, Paul
  9. Hi, We are attempting to move data between FileMaker version 6 and HandDBase via ODBC Import, Export. We are receiving the following error messages. Export "HanDBase to ODBC failed. ODBC Error was [FileMaker][ODBC FileMaker Pro driver] Create Table statement is not supported" Import "Import from ODBC failed. ODBC Error was [FileMaker][ODBC FileMaker Pro driver] Cannot open table" The process seems like it should be very straightforward. We created a data source for the FileMaker file. This file correctly appears as the import table data source. Our current FileMaker ODBC driver is version 3.60.00.00, file FMFMP50.DLL, dated 4/16/01. Is there a newer driver we should be using and if so how do we obtain it? Thanks, Paul
