This is only my second question (in five years!). Forgive and redirect me if this is the wrong forum. I have a single-table database (fmp12 file) in FM13. It is regularly emailed to an iPad (which has FMGO). All works well. When I try to email the fmp12 file using "Save/Send" from the iPad, the only active choice is "Snapshot LInk." The choice "Database" is grayed out. How can I get the iPad version of the file back to the desktop (preferably using email)? Why is "Database" grayed out?

Thanks!

Might be a file permission issue. I am actually not sure here.

You can connect your iPad to a computer and get the file back via the cable.

Or you can export your records as a merge file and import them into your desktop solution.

There are always workarounds on FileMaker if something doesn't work. :-)

Thanks for the fast reply Agnes. Actually I tried connecting the iPad to my Mac and couldn't see the file. It shows photos on the iPad but not the FM file. Can you help with that?

Thanks again,

Tom

Thanks Bcooney. That did the trick (although it took a couple hours to figure out exactly what to do--my screens never quite matched the expectations in the directions). But the good news is: the file can be transferred now. Thanks again.
